Shingle Roofing in Central North Carolina
Asphalt shingle roof installation, replacement, and repair.
Asphalt shingle roofing is still the most common roofing choice in North Carolina for a reason — it is reliable, looks great on most home styles, and offers solid weather protection at a reasonable cost. CG Construction LLC handles full roof installations, complete replacements, and targeted repairs on shingle roofs throughout Central North Carolina — including Raleigh, Fayetteville, Sanford, and the surrounding Triangle and Sandhills communities.
Architectural and 3-tab shingle installation
We install both architectural (dimensional) shingles and traditional 3-tab shingles, depending on what works best for the property. Architectural shingles tend to last longer and give the roof a layered, more upscale look. 3-tab is a flatter, more economical option that still does the job for many homes.
Full roof replacement with quality underlayment
When a roof is past its useful life — curling shingles, granule loss, leaks, or storm damage — a full replacement is usually the most cost-effective path. We tear off the old roof, inspect and repair the decking as needed, install proper synthetic underlayment and ice/water shield at the right places, and then install new shingles with correct nailing patterns and ventilation.
Roof repair and storm damage
Not every roof needs to be replaced. Missing shingles, lifted shingles after a windstorm, damaged flashing around chimneys and vents, or a single leak can often be addressed with a targeted repair. We inspect, explain what we find, and only recommend a full replacement when the roof actually needs it.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does an asphalt shingle roof last?
Architectural shingles typically last 25–30 years in North Carolina conditions when installed correctly. 3-tab shingles tend to last 15–20 years. Ventilation and maintenance play a big role in actual lifespan.
Do I need a full replacement or just a repair?
It depends on the age of the roof, the extent of the damage, and what we find when we inspect it. If only a few areas are affected and the rest of the roof is healthy, a repair is usually fine. If the roof is near end-of-life, repairs become a short-term fix.
Do you handle insurance claim roofs?
We can inspect storm damage and walk you through what we see. We do not handle the insurance side of the claim — that is between you and your insurance carrier — but we can provide the documentation a contractor would normally provide.
